في خبايا وزوايا الكون المعتمة، يكمن وجودٌ مظلم يبث الرعب في النفوس، ولكنه يرتعش خوفًا أمام نور الشجاعة. وُلد خط عفريت في عالم آخر، عالم الجن، حيث المعركة الأبدية التي تحارَب بين الحق والباطل، والتي يطلق عليها اسم معركة الفرقان، تحتدم بين النور والظلام. في خضم هذا النزاع الكوني، يقف بطلنا عفريت رمزًا للمقاومة، يتصدّى لقوى الظلام المُحدقة ويُنير عالم الجن بنوره الساطع. ينعكس ذلك في التباين بين الحديّة والانحناء في هذا الخط، تحرّيًا للتفاعل ما بين هذه القـوى.
In the hidden, dark corners of the universe lies a menacing presence that terrifies all, yet cowers before the light of courage. Ifreet is a typeface born in another realm, the realm of the Djinn, where the eternal battle known as “Ma’rakat al-Furqan”—the battle that separates truth from falsehood—rages between light and darkness. Amidst this cosmic struggle, our hero Ifreet stands as a beacon of resistance, pushing back against the looming darkness and spreading light throughout the Djinn realm. The typeface is defined by the contrast between sharpness and curvature, a deliberate exploration of the interplay between these forces.
يسعى عون بفضوله تجاه التعلم والتجريب، إلى إثارة الفكر وخلق الأجواء وإعادة تعريف العلاقة بين المعنى والشكل. يحمل المصمّم والفنان درجة البكالوريوس في التصميم والتواصل البصري من إسطنبول، ويستكشف من خلال أعماله التباين والتحوّل، وذلك عبر أسلوب يتسّم بالحدّة والجرأة، يطرح من خلالها أسئلة حول النمو والتأمّل الذاتي.
Carrying a deep sense of curiosity for learning and experimenting, Awn seeks to provoke thought, create atmosphere, and redefine the relationship between meaning and form. With a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication and Design from Istanbul, the artist-and-designer explores contrasts and transformation, often through a sharp and gritty aesthetic that sheds light on questions of self-reflection and growth.
