تسود بيننا حالة الفوضى النفسية في سياق وضع الحرب المستمرة، حيث تفرض الظروف حالة تأهب دائمة للموت، بينما تكتم نفوسنا رغبتها المدفونة في الأعماق باستمرارية العيش. تنعكس هذه الحالة المتقلبة بين كل لحظة وأخرى في خط تبعثُر عبر الانسيابية والتباين في الأوزان المختلفة، إمّا في الحرف الواحد أو في الكلمة والجملة بأكملها، مُعبّرًا بذلك عن التصالح التام بين البقاء والفناء والاستعـداد المتـزامن لكليهمـا.
Chaos reigns in our minds amidst the ongoing war, as we grapple with the readiness to come face to face with death while harboUring a deep-seated desire to stay alive. This rapid fluctuation is captured in Taba’thur through its fluidity and weight contrasts—evident within each letter, word, or sentence. This typeface pictures the personal struggle of reconciling with demise, survival, and simultaneous preparedness for both.
تؤمن بُدور أن الحاضر يفقد معناه بمعزل عن الماضي، ممّا يدفعها إلى تكريس ذاتها لدراسة تاريخ التصميم كوسيلة تثري بها عملها المعاصر، وتهتم مصممة الجرافيك الفلسطينية الحائزة على درجة البكالوريوس في التصميم من جامعة بيرزيت، في فن الحرف بشكل خاص، وتستوحي أعمالها في مجال الخطوط الطباعية من هويتها الفردية والوطنية، كاشفةً سحر الحروف وقدرتها على احتواء المشاعر المتباينة في طياتها، لتغدو بذلك مرآةً عاكسةً للطبيعة البشرية.
For Bodour, the present only finds meaning through its connection to the past. This conviction drives her to study design history as a way to enrich her contemporary creations. The Palestinian graphic designer earned her Bachelor’s degree in Design from Birzeit University motivated by a particular appreciation for lettering. Her typographic work stems from both personal and national identity, revealing the Arabic letter’s capacity to hold contrasting emotions within its form—much like human nature itself.
